SUPPORTS 1st WILLOW POINT SCOUT TROOP

AT THE 25th WORLD SCOUT JAMBOREE IN SCOTLAND

Our Club was very pleased to provide support to the Willow Point Scout Troop to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Scotland. were able to attend the Jamboree with many exciting side trips to spots in England and Scotland.

Our Club has been supporting Scouts for over 60 years including the construction of a Scout Hall in the late 1940's.

In recognition of our Club's commitment to supporting youth in the community.

Rotary International is the World's first Service Club starting with four members in one Club in Chicago in 1905 and has now grown to over 1.4 Million Members in over 35,000 Clubs located in over 180 countries.

PolioPlus

is the most ambitious program in Rotary’s history and has helped reduce annual polio cases by more than 99.9 percent.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio since 1985, and our goal of ridding the earth of this disease is in sight. We started in 1979 with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines and have now contributed 1,000's of volunteer hours and over $1 Billion to the inoculation of over Two Billion children in every nation. Today, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries where polio remains endemic. Rotary is a founding partner of the

Global Polio Eradication Initiative.
