PolioPlus

is the most ambitious program in Rotary’s history and has helped reduce annual polio cases by more than 99.9 percent.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio since 1985, and our goal of ridding the earth of this disease is in sight.  We started in 1979 with vaccinations for 6 million children in the Philippines and have now contributed 1,000's of volunteer hours and over $1 Billion to the inoculation of over Two Million children in every nation.  Today, Afghanistan and Pakistan are the only countries where polio remains endemic.  Rotary is a founding partner of the

Global Polio Eradication Initiative.

Our Club has been a proud contributor to this initiative for over 35 years.
